On our Cabo wildlife safari tours, you’ll have the opportunity to enter the water when conditions allow and explore marine life up close. Depending on the day, you may snorkel alongside dolphins, sea lions, sea turtles, rays, and other incredible species found along the coastline of San José del Cabo.
One of the most spectacular seasonal highlights is the mobula ray migration. From April to July, and occasionally in the winter months, thousands of mobula rays gather in large schools, sometimes leaping from the water in an unforgettable natural display.
Mobula rays are seasonal and not guaranteed, which is why our tours focus on the full diversity of the Sea of Cortez. Our Cabo wildlife safari tours are designed to offer a flexible and authentic ocean experience shaped by nature. CABO WILDLIFE SAFARI TOURS – ITINERARY
Meeting Point & Departure
Start your Cabo wildlife safari tour at our marina office in San José del Cabo, where you’ll meet your marine biologist guide and prepare for your snorkeling adventure. After a short walk to the boat, we head out along the coastline in search of marine life.
Snorkeling Wildlife Experience
This is a snorkeling-based wildlife safari, meaning we actively explore and, when conditions allow, enter the water for close encounters. Depending on the day, you may snorkel alongside dolphins, sea lions, sea turtles, rays, and other marine species found in the Sea of Cortez.
Exploring the Best Wildlife Areas
We explore areas from Palmilla to Zacatitos and Gordo Banks, choosing the best locations based on wildlife activity and ocean conditions. Our Cabo wildlife safari tours are designed around real-time ocean conditions and wildlife encounters. No two tours are the same—this is a true ocean safari experience guided by nature.
Mobula Ray Season Highlight
During mobula ray season, you may have the chance to witness large schools of rays gathering and, at times, jumping from the water—one of the most unique natural events in Baja California Sur.
