Scuba Diving in Baja’s Marine Reserve

Cabo Pulmo Scuba Diving from Los Cabos

Dive the Legendary Reefs of Cabo Pulmo

DIVE INTO CABO PULMO

Cabo Pulmo is home to one of Mexico’s healthiest coral reefs and one of the world’s greatest marine conservation success stories. Protected through strict regulations and limited visitor numbers, the marine park has become famous for its giant schools of bigeye jacks, bull sharks, massive groupers, sea turtles, rays, and the incredible diversity of marine life that makes Cabo Pulmo Scuba Diving from Los Cabos such a unique experience.

At Salty Cabo, this tour is especially close to our hearts. Before founding Salty Cabo, I worked as a scuba diving instructor and dive center manager in Los Cabos and spent several years guiding divers in Cabo Pulmo. It is a place that has inspired me throughout my diving career and one that I believe every diver should experience at least once.

THE REEFS OF CABO PULMO

Cabo Pulmo National Park is home to one of Mexico’s healthiest coral reef systems and more than a dozen dive sites, including El Vencedor, Los Cantiles, and El Bajo. Divers may encounter bull sharks, giant schools of bigeye jacks, massive groupers, sea turtles, and countless reef fish.

Most dive sites are relatively shallow, generally between 20 and 60 feet (6–18 meters), making Cabo Pulmo Scuba Diving from Los Cabos suitable for a wide range of certified divers.

To protect the reef, park authorities determine which dive sites can be visited each day, helping prevent overcrowding and supporting one of the world’s greatest marine conservation success stories. Today, Cabo Pulmo Scuba Diving from Los Cabos offers divers the opportunity to explore a thriving marine reserve recognized within the UNESCO World Heritage Gulf of California Protected Areas.
