•East Cape Guests: If you are staying in the East Cape (for example, at the Vidanta Hotel), you’ll need to meet us at our office in Puerto Los Cabos, San José del Cabo for pickup.
•Private Tours: For private tours that require a direct pickup in the East Cape, there is an additional charge of USD 100.

Can I book a shared trip or a private tour?
Yes. Standard whale shark and combined experiences both have group and private options. The private pricing sections cover parties of 1–7 and 8–9 guests; contact us about larger groups. Each package has its own price, so confirm the full package and availability before reserving.
What happens if the group minimum is not reached?
Group tours require at least 3 participants. If the minimum is not met, the stated options are to reschedule, receive a refund of your deposit, or choose to pay for the third participant. Confirm your selected trip and arrangements with the team before planning around an unconfirmed departure.
Is hotel pickup included from Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo?
Yes. This La Paz day trip includes round-trip transport for guests in Cabo San Lucas, the Tourist Corridor and San José del Cabo. East Cape guests normally meet at the Puerto Los Cabos office; private direct East Cape pickup has the additional charge stated in the pickup section. Use your confirmation for the exact time and location.
How long should I allow, and when can I go?
Allow a full day: the group packages list approximately 10 hours, including the road journey and water activities. Plan around the November-to-April whale shark season and confirm availability for your dates. Your actual pickup, water time and return depend on the selected itinerary and conditions.
Can beginners and children join?
The requirements on this page specify a minimum age of 10, basic swimming skills and good physical fitness. Tell us about the group’s swimming confidence before booking. Wetsuits and life jackets are provided, but participation still needs to suit the guest and the conditions.
What equipment and refreshments are included?

Does the combo include Balandra Beach?
The private combo itinerary names Balandra Beach. Confirm the beach stop and the day’s arrangements for your selected group or private package when enquiring. Beach plans and access can change, so use the confirmed itinerary rather than assuming every whale shark option includes Balandra.
What should I bring, and are wildlife sightings guaranteed?
Bring a swimsuit, towel, sun protection, a camera if you wish, and warm dry clothes for the journey back. Wildlife sightings and particular behaviors cannot be guaranteed. Read the terms and conditions and ask the team about weather or itinerary changes before booking.
Can I choose a sea lion trip without the whale shark combo?
Yes, the standalone sea lion snorkeling tour remains a separate option. Compare that itinerary if sea lions are your main priority, or contact us to choose between the standard whale shark trip, the combo and the sea lion tour.
